<p><strong><em>The Answers</em></strong></p>
<p><em>Question 1 is a) £166.44 is the average spent on food, drink and entertainment in Wales. The most will be spent in the North East of England (£220.20)</em></p>
<p><em>Question 2 is a) just 167 sq km of Wales is planted with conifers (although it seems like more!).<br />
</em></p>
<p><em>Question 3 is b) Wales’s only reindeer herd is at Poundffald Farm, Gower and Celtic Manor Resort has reindeer on Christmas Eve. Snowdonia may have some deer but these are fallow deer not reindeer.<br />
</em></p>
<p><em>Question 4 is c)The top-earning 10% of male full-timers earns £892.10 a week compared with £285.70 a week earned by the bottom 10%.</em></p>
<p><em>Question 5 is c) 5,419 children were looked-after by local authorities in Wales at 31<sup>st</sup> March 2011 – equivalent to 1 in 87 children. The number is up 20% in 5 years.</em></p>
<p><em>Question 6 is a) The Winter Fuel Allowance for those over 80 will be up to £300 for 2011/12 compared with up to £400 in the previous 3 years.<br />
</em></p>
<p>Question 7 is a) <em>25.3% of people in Rhondda Cynon Taf said they had no religion in 2001 (closely followed by Blaenau Gwent at 25.1%). Just  12.9% of people in Flintshire said they had no religion.</em></p>
<p>Question 8 is c) 34% of men said they had drunk more than 8 units of alcohol on one day in the week before they were asked.</p>
<p>Question 9 is c) 88,200 people in Wales will be working in accommodation or food services this Christmas</p>
<p><em>Question 10 is True – last year there were under 20 reported incidences of food poisoning in Christmas week compared to 170 incidences in May.</em></p>
<p><em>Question 11 is b) A total of 78,100 people will be receiving Job Seekers allowance this Christmas in Wales with 54,000 of those being men and 24,100 being women</em></p>
<p><em>Question 12 is b) According to the 2001 census a total of 582,000 people in Wales speak Welsh</em></p>
